    I think growing up as a kid and being taught not to talk to strangers or mainly your overall upbringing can play a part in this as well.

    @Mar1n29 Yeah, here he is.

    Question. Is this Mystery from Neil Strauss’ book “The Game”?

    Yes, it’s possible. If you’ve just witnessed a guy get rejected, you will be shaken up, thinking that you would never try that because of what you’ve witnessed. On the contrary, if you’re the type to hang out with very outgoing people, and watch them sarge (this is a bonus), you’ll soon be comfortable in this “outgoing” aura, and as a result, you will adopt this confidence. BUT, you have to take initiative.

    I see where you are coming from. I have no idea how true or untrue this is… but men can watch another man get bashed and develop fear. So really it is still possible to get fear from watching it happen to someone else. Just another perspective.

    Is he suggesting that our current fear of approach is the remnant of our ancestors’ past social structures? In what way would this find it’s way into future generations’ brains? How is the process of physical “hardwiring” achieved and what is it’s physiological cause? To me it sounds like pseudo-evolutionary mixup.

  • MELLAD4 said:

    @busheybushdawg but how about the guys who’ve seen it happen to that certain someone?

  • sethrpg said:

    @busheybushdawg
    Its actually the reverse Darwinian approach. the LIVE guys pass on their dna which HAS this gene.

    Mystery’s a Guru

    he sounds like a really nice guy … thot he`d be a cocky douche with all the women he gets

  • busheybushdawg said:

    Getting your head bashed in for trying to pick up a girl unfortunately does not get hard wired into your genes because dead guys have a hard time passing on their DNA.

    This fellow Mystery makes it too complicated. All you gotta do is stop caring what she thinks.

  • jslkd said:

    @DanielJustinLeBlanc obviously your interested in her. I would have responded by saying: “Hey, i would love to see you later after your done with work, if your interested. If not, ill catch you next time.” That will project your interest in her.

  • TheMrMonkee said:

  • m3tallih0lic said:

    @DanielJustinLeBlanc idk… how about something like “anything else you could help me with?… hhhmmmmm well i can’t think of anything right now…. how about you give me your number so i could get ahold of you when i come up with something”

  • DanielJustinLeBlanc said:

    I was in the bank the other day and a 10/10 was cashing my check for me. She looked at me a couple of times and smiled (not being cocky but I am? good looking but don’t have much game yet) and I froze. Then she said, “Is there anything else that I can help you with today?” and I froze like a fucking pussy. What is something clever that I could have said in that situation? Thanks.

    i used to think this was bullshit until i heard this specific video. he has a very good point that hesitation in selecting a mate stems from tens of thousands of years of social / civilized evolution.

    The scary thing is I remember the Vic 20. I haven’t heard it mentioned in 25 years, and it was primitive even then. I love his books. Especially the first one. One recommendation. A lot of people follow his advice, but won’t do the training he recommends. Big mistake, like a sport you have to do the training Mystery suggests, not just try to pull a routine out of your ass.
