After The Burial playing their new song “My Frailty” from the upcoming new album, live at London Music Hall. From the show with Emmure, Terror, Miss May I, and local openers Terrorhorse.

this band is so sick. how they reproduce such technical rhythm sections live amazes me. i seriously hope this band is around for a while they are bringing fresh material to the metal scene. with retarded awesome riffs and with breakdowns that actually have purpose. Meshuggah is a completely different style of metal, and not everything ATB writes is major. both those bands and especially the contemporary riffs of this one influence me greatly.
meshuggah suckles on my teet daily so yea after the burial is way better
Trent is such a fucking beast.
@chesterdill your a retard
@chesterdill
It’s an alright composition. Though the guitar tone could be improved with a remastering. But what it is is technicality with no substance, no ’soul’ as it were, (meaning emotion in this instance). Meshuggah’s songs make me feel something, Pi doesn’t.
@chesterdill Dude… just try and play Bleed.
Meshuggah are more “complex” than ATB, although in my opinion ATB are more technical than Meshuggah. im saying this from a musicians point of view who can play their music, so from first hand experience and knowledge, that is my opinion. But to be honest i couldnt really give a shit, just enjoy the music! we’re lucky to have 2 awesome bands in our era
@Crazyfishyyy OH FUCK YEAH HE DOES!
this band is not a Meshuggah rip. they ARE influenced by Meshuggah. botrh times i saw ATB they warmed up by plating parts of Bleed by Meshuggah. And i smoked them out, and while smoking they talked about Meshuggah.
@aPaThEiSt no I’m not kidding…Meshuggah’s claim to fame is their extensive use of off timing and polyrhythms. After the Burial is full of the the same thing and more. ATB has extremely technical breakdowns plus they use melodic riffs. ATB is much faster and to be honest i think their timing is more technical than meshuggah’s. listen to the second half of the song “mercury the god of infinity” and tell me that isn’t technical. they take the math term “pi” and make a breakdown out of it.
@bigbadbang18
Though I gave you a one up, your comment still had an aftertaste of pretentiousness.
Enjoy your hypocrisy.
@amitchakraverty84
“I liek mah 3 minute songs herp a derp.
I don’t have enough of an attention span to listen to a whole album for 40-60 minutes or so to get a real feel of what a band is trying to portray.
Herp a derp, I don’t know what a concept album is.”
Not verbatim, but I think I get the gist of what you’re meaning.
@chesterdill
Are you fucking joking?
@skateforthefun
Implying breakdowns and solos make a good song.
Implying that Meshuggah’s solos are comparable to ATB’s.
Implying breakdowns are good. Go look up some slam death metal. Listen to a decent slam section. Then come back and tell me ‘breakdowns are brootal herp a derp’.
@mrtalkative91
Eg……
@timechildec
Damn straight. Who’s defiling the name of the Mesh?
Anyone know when the album’s coming out? I REALLY wanna hear a recorded version of this!
@TheReclamation14 They evolved the sound of Meshuggah. Of course they won’t sound exactly alike. They took parts from Meshuggah and added their own feel.
@Remokari very well sed
@timechildec its a personal preference… you see in this world different people enjoy different types of music genres and bands. Just because meshuggah came first doesnt mean they influenced this band, besides they sound nothing alike.
@TheReclamation14 That’s a very poor comparison. How can you not like Meshuggah in the first place? I want to see what your detailed answer will be.
Holy shit, that breakdown that sick. I feel envious that I wasn’t there.
@dirtxD123 this band is nothing like dragonforce, they are like the complete opposite
@timechildec that’s like thanking christina aguilera for creating Ke$ha…. its bullshit
@Crazyfishyyy anthony is the fucking man!
