Adam Gilchrist 121* Vs England 2005

30 July 2010 9 Comments

After a thrilling tie in the Natwest Series final and a victory each in the first two Natwest Challenge matches, Australia and England battled it out in the third and final match to decide which team was the best of the ODI season. Australia put in a solid bowling performance to restrict England to 228 in the first innings and openers Gilchrist and Hayden led the charge to chase them down. With 17 boundaries and 2 sixes, Gilchrist made short work of the total and finished unbeaten on 121 and secured victory with 15.1 overs to spare. Highlights include all boundaries, century celebration and end of match. Thanks to Muthoo for original video.
